The two main services include support and advocacy for the client. We support by doing the following: - one to one support as well as educational workshops to all individuals as well as Métis children in care and their caregivers
- support through the court process
- workshops and services that are culturally relevant and sensitive to the unique needs of the Métis people
We advocate by doing the following: - information and support when families are dealing with various Provincial ministries
- support to parents who are at risk of having their children removed
- referrals to existing service
The Family Support Worker is available from Monday to Friday from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM. The Family Support Worker provides support to Metis people on various levels such as advocacy, court support, supervised visits, and referrals.
